Dipa Dahal is enough to investigate all corruption cases!
Our Prime Minister has appointed Dipa Dahal as his Press and Research Advisor. This is probably the best appointment in town for the moment. Who is Dipa Dahal? If this lady were an American and working in the US media, she would have won the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting a few times. But here in Nepal, her reporting has been mostly ignored by those in power then but with the new government in place, things might be different in the days to come.
According to our media reports, her role is to advise our PM on media strategy and communication stuff but if the PM decides to act only on the articles she has written for Ukaalo News in the past few years, then expect Prakash Man Singh's sister to rot in jail for her massive corruption and misuse of power when she headed Bal Mandir.
Binod Chaudhary and his brothers will also be in jail for their public land grabbing in Bhaisepati and the dada-giri against neighbors after they took over the Summit Hotel in Kupondole Height and many more cases of tax evasion and foreign exchange manipulation as well.
I think the Chaudharys' have already given back the 10 ropanis of land they had grabbed in Bansbari many decades ago but if we were to thoroughly investigate all of our so-called thulo byaparis, then 80% of them will be charged with public land grabbing, be it he Wai Wai wallahs or even the old forester turned hotelier turned sage Karna Shakya and even Min Bahadur Gurung or Dr. Upendra Mahato, who has managed to hadap-ing ropanis of public land while building his Mediciti hospital in Nakkhu.
Dipa Dahal is not only an investigative journalist but also teaches undergraduate students and has written a few books and we really have to say thank you to our PM for appointing not only a woman press advisor but a competent professional to handle the PM's media stuff.
We wish her the best and we hope that she will do her job well to make sure the PM's message reaches us all in every nook and corner of the country and hope her investigations about corruption by our netas, hakims and byaparis will also help this government to arrest those who have bled this country dry and Nepal Police will not have to do all of the work because her articles have most of the evidence needed to prosecute some of our corrupt ones!

I am a big Ukaalo fan because it is an independent, not-for-profit, purely crowd-funded media thing, unlike our seto or kalo or ratopatis or other so-called online media wallahs who rely on our business houses or other folks for advertisement and are afraid to speak up against any illegal acts by our byaparis.
