No, I don't believe women are the root of all troubles. It is, as you have hinted, a function and consequence of patriarchal culture that we have such jokes, hundreds of them. And lo, if someone thought we have them only in Nepal,they are damn wrong. They are everywhere. The difference being that in the educated circle of the US and Europe few people would say them openly; in Nepal-- and may I add among Nepalese around the globe--it doesn't make much difference.
