One of my friends won DV lottory for this year. He was unmarried while he applied DV lottory and is married now. Is it true that his wife might not get Visa since he got married after he applied for DV lottory ? Comments and informations from experienced persons will be highly appreciated.

He need to send the updated form or application to the KCC including his wife's name with the proof of marriage. If he was married before recieving his first letter or notification letter of winning he will have no problem. Other wise he has to convience the consular that the marriage was not only for Green card.

My brother had the exactly similar situation.
1. If you want to DO CP( consular processing). Don't even think about it. I am 100 % sure ki, both he and his wife will be rejected. Ther is no doubt. U need to trust.

2. If your friend is in USA and his wife is in nepal or both of you are in USA, then both of you will be able to get green card.

i am not sure what is your situation. first tel me what is your situation, then i will explain everything i went thru. I tried to contact lawyer and some nepali broker. They all asked money. Heck. we are student. we can't pay that much money.

THe most important thing is don't apply I485 before October 2007. The filing period starts only after october 2007. For your case number about when to file, go to visa bulletin and know the priorty date for your case number. The lower case number can file faster than the higher one.
