I think RMIT and USyd are well regarded but it really depends upon your research interest. Consult the USnews rankings. I think the fundings are state monitored in Aussie unis but am not sure, it might be a bit harder to come by than US unis. Most unis there want you to consult with a professor whose research interest matches yours before applying (assuming you are applying for research masters). You could start by writing to profs and talk about funding and such with em. Good Luck!
